The Clark Jones Trio at Church of the Redeemer

The Clark & Jones Trio, comprising Jude Jones, Frank Clark and Nancy Bick Clark, are pleased to return to Episcopal Church of the Redeemer on Sunday Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. for the Thirteenth Annual Celtic Winter Solstice Concert. The concert is open to the public, and will feature Celtic and international music for Christmas, Chanukah, and the winter solstice on Celtic Harp, violin, recorder, guitar, vocals, and percussion. A free will donation is always welcome.
The Trio has enjoyed arranging and sharing music for Advent and Epiphany for a number of years. The Celtic Winter Solstice concert first took place at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in January, 2009 for Epiphany. Then it moved to December, 2009 annually through December 2019. This long-time Cincinnati tradition returns for the thirteenth year on December 10, 2023.
The Clark & Jones Trio has performed for Greater Cincinnati audiences for over twenty years at venues including Christ Church Cathedral Music Live at Lunch, Trinity Episcopal Church Midday Musical Menu, First United Methodist Church in Middletown, the Behringer Crawford Museum in Covington, Christ Church Glendale, the Irish Heritage Center, the Cincinnati Nature Center, and the Lane Library in Hamilton, OH. The group currently performs regularly at retirement communities, libraries, and corporate functions. They will be at Christ Church Cathedral Music Live at Lunch on April 30, 2024.
Jude Jones is a board-certified music therapist who recently retired from creating arts programming for Cedar Village Retirement Community. She has written and produced six plays, two of which she co-wrote with her husband David Carter. A published songwriter, Jude also performs with the Kentucky Symphony and the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra. From 1999 to 2020, Jude served as Director of the Sharonville Community Chorus. She has performed in the Boar’s Head Festival orchestra at Christ Church Cathedral for over thirty years.
Frank and Nancy have taught workshops and performed at harp festivals in Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina, as well as HarpCon, the International Folk Harpers and Craftsmen's conference in Bloomington, IN. In 2016, they performed with Mary Radspinner and the late Evelyn Tiffany-Castiglioni at the Milwaukee Irish Festival. Nancy, Mary and Evelyn published three books of harp arrangements. Nancy performed with the Chieftains at Riverbend in 2003. In 1993, Nancy taught harp at the Gaelic College in Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In 1985 and 1990, Nancy and Frank received grants from the English Speaking Union, and did research and performances in Scotland. Nancy served on the Board of the American Harp Society Cincinnati Chapter from 2013-2023.
