Middle CoR Lent Study
Sunday, March 26, 2023, 10:00 AM
Join us during Lent for a Middle CoR Lent Study where we will explore the Holy Troublemakers & Unconventional Saints curriculum.
This 12-lesson digital companion curriculum is designed to introduce children to the concepts of holy troublemaking as modeled by the people profiled in Holy Troublemakers & Unconventional Saints, from diverse faiths, who worked for love, compassion, and justice, even when that rocked the religious boat. These lessons ask questions such as: What is holy and good trouble? What is not? What lessons can we learn from those who have gone before on this path? How do we keep our joy and inner peace while working for a world where all can flourish? What might my contribution be?
As Bayard Rustin, who was in many ways the North Star for this book, said: “We need, in every community, a group of angelic troublemakers.” He went on to help others become angelic troublemakers for justice and peace, which is what we hope this curriculum will also help support.
We are made of stories and stardust. We tell the stories of holy troublemakers and unconventional saints, people of faith who have worked for love, justice, and compassion, to inspire us, make us bold, and connect us to each other and the Love that makes us one.
