Brews & Mountain Tops
Monday, June 5, 2023, 7:00 PM
Start your week off enjoying your favorite beverage and meaningful conversation with other young adults. On Mondays, starting April 24th through June 5th, meet at the downstairs outside picnic table (or downstairs community table inside, based on weather) of Bean and Barley (Madison Rd.) from 7:00p-8:30p for the Brews and Mountaintops study.
In the Bible, several pivotal moments in our faith history take place on ancient mountains. As one of God’s preferred meeting spaces, mountains in the Bible take on symbolic meaning. Mountains are holy ground for connecting with God. Tracing a biblical theme with imagery like mountains can spark holy curiosity and empower us to cultivate a biblical imagination as a way to restore our hope in God’s presence.
In this study, we’ll see the way God shows up on mountains throughout Scripture and what it can mean for us today. Each week stands on its own – come when you can. If able, read the chapters listed below we will be covering before the gathering and come ready to discuss. Didn’t get a chance to read? No problem, the questions are written in a way to give context in order to engage in the discussion.
