Lent 2022
Practicing the Way of Love
Lent 2022
Church of the Redeemer has made a long-term commitment to the Becoming Beloved Community journey, a set of interrelated commitments around which Episcopalians may organize our many efforts to respond to racial injustice and grow a community of reconcilers, justice-makers, and healers. The labyrinth may be an even more useful image for engaging the vision. On the road toward reconciliation and healing, we move around corners and double back into quadrants we have visited before, each time discovering new revelation and challenge.
During Lent 2022, we will spend some time in the Practicing the Way of Love quadrant, confirming our Baptismal Promise to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves. With our offerings this season, we hope to ponder these questions together:
- How will we grow as reconcilers, healers, and justice-bearers?
- How will we actively grow relationships across dividing walls and seek Christ in the other?
Sent into the world, rooted and grounded in Love, to serve all people with humility, compassion, and faithfulness.
Continue the journey with us.
