What prompted you to visit Church of the Redeemer for the first time? Why have you stayed? Share a story about why Church of the Redeemer matters to you.
"At the time, I was tired of the philosophies and politics of my other churches. When I first moved to Cincinnati and lived downtown, I would occasionally attend Christ Church Cathedral, and enjoyed those Sundays.
I was walking on Erie one day and discovered Redeemer and decided to go - give it a try. If I didn’t like it, I could always go back downtown to worship. The first Sunday I walked into the sanctuary, I could feel God’s presence just enveloping me, and I knew I was home. And, I continue to look forward to attending church services and other programs at Redeemer."
What is your favorite part of being at an Episcopal Church on a Sunday? Share a story about that experience.
"I really enjoy the peace, quiet and contemplative atmosphere of the 8 am service. I always feel the love, kindness and acceptance of others. I always go home with a smile on my face and song in my heart. It’s fun going to church!"
What renews you spiritually at Church of the Redeemer? Share a story about how that spiritual renewal effects your daily life.
"The total love, kindness, giving and acceptance that I feel. And it’s genuine - people do these things because they want to, not because they have to. All the wonderful programs that Redeemer is involved with - not only within the church, but throughout the community. We’re making a positive difference, which is wonderful. All of this has changed me for the better, which is awe-inspiring and what a wonderful gift!"
