Brews and Love is the Resistance
Monday, February 7, 2022, 7:00 PM
Start your week off enjoying your favorite brew and meaningful conversation with other young adults. On Mondays through February 28, meet in the downstairs area of Bean and Barley Coffeehouse and Taproom (Madison Rd). from 7:00p – 8:30p for Brews and Love is the Resistance study or game nights on off weeks (due to long holiday weekends).
The Brews and Love is Resistance study uses a 6 part series from the podcast Why Tho? hosted by Tiffany Bluhm and Ashley Abercrombie.
Each week will feature a different episode from the series talking about various topics, so each week stands on its own – come when you can. Click here to view the schedule for the series and to find the links to the episodes.
Listen to the week’s episode before the gathering and come ready to discuss. A “teaching team” has been formed of a few different young adults who take turns leading the discussions each week.
A little bit about Love is the Resistance
Are you tired of engaging in fruitless arguments or biting your tongue? Do you long for greater compassion and understanding with your friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors? When love becomes our habitual reaction to the conflicts and divisions in our lives, we discover the resistance we need to stay true to our convictions without sacrificing our relationships.
The Why Tho? podcast does a 6 part series on Ashley Abercombie’s book Love is the Resistance. Her book and podcast series hope to help people learn to disagree, resolve conflicts you’ve been avoiding, and create real change.
